Kudumbashree has formed 3 lakh WhatsApp groups with 22 lakh NHG members to educate them about Government instructions regarding Covid-19 during lockdown. Currently information is being sent to NHG groups via this platform.

 

Kudumbashree is conducting IEC campaign to inform the NHGs that elderly people should take special care to prevent the pandemic. Various IEC activities like Executive Director’s letter to NHGs, posters emphasizing elderly care etc. are being done regularly.

 

 

We created WhatsApp groups at all levels (in the 3 tier organisation network) and at present there are 1.9 lakh groups with 22.5 lakh members. Details are given below in table

We are sending posters and other positive communication to all through WhatsApp groups. 

First set of posters focusing on general precautions, care for elderly were sent last week

Second set of posters on ‘what all to do during lock down (positive messages) is being sent now
