There are 5692 tribal hamlets and 1.2 lakh tribal families in Kerala. As the elderly in these tribal hamlets are vulnerable, we intent to pass the message through different mediums to the families in the tribal hamlets that, the elder people should stay more cautious.
In addition to taking information to the elderly in the tribal hamlets, it is also planned to share the same message to the families in the coastal areas of 91 panchayaths through coastal volunteers. There are 321 tribal animators and 82 coastal volunteers in Kerala. The message that the elder people should stay more cautious would be given to the hamlets as posts, whatsapp and SMS through the tribal animators. In addition, for taking this message directly to the families, each animators would visit the elderly people in their hamlets, maintaining the covid protocol and spread the message that the elder people should stay more alert. Following that, this activity would be continued in the hamlets where the animators can travel. It is planned to pass the same message to the families in the coastal areas through coastal volunteers as well.
