To provide nutritious food to families is the prime goal of agri nutri garden. To compact malnutrition, the goal is to establish 10,00,000 agri nutri gardens across the state to ensure better nutritious support to the NHG members there by getting additional income to the farm livelihood. It aims in making the availability of fresh and nutritious vegetables, fruits, to provide healthy food thereby developing a healthy society to cope up pandemic diseases like COVID 19. Any five vegetables from the list which include tomato, bitter gourd, Amaranthus, Pumpkin, Coriander/Mint, Bhindi, Brinjal, Cucumber and two fruits trees saplings are being cultivated in agri nutri garden. In each ward, the project is implemented in selected 50 families forming a cluster. Each beneficiary is has to do farming in an area of not less than 3 cents adopting organic methods.
