Formation of JEVA marked a mile stone in entrepreneurial guidance and evaluation in Kudumbashree agricultural interventions. To scale up and strengthen the activities in the poorest sections of the community, this project submit the concept of tribal JLGs and tribal JEVA team.

Paddy Collectives
Establishment of 65 new paddy collectives in the state focusing on the strengthening of marginal paddy farmers. Due to various reasons, paddy production is decreasing in our state. This program will be a support to the women farmers of Kudumbashree in paddy production, processing and marketing area. Paddy collective fund can be transferred to existing collectives for enhancing their activities and can be given to the new ones also. Value addition of paddy, its branding, marketing etc are also included in this program. PCF can be given to the newly formed collectives as well as already established ones. But the amount wants to be repaid within 6 months to the CDS itself.

Green Carpets- Mobile Garden Installation Units
Gardens contribute significantly to the well being and quality of life. Urbanisation and civilization has directly aggravated the thirst for verdancy. Realizing the possibility of entrepreneurial intervention in this field and also lack of renowned and well established such enterprises, this concept aims at formation of gardening units which are mobile and catering to all needs in this sector. Well trained women groups consisting 4- 10 members will be created in all district. They will be given high end training on the various aspects of gardening, landscaping and new trends in the field. The group will be equipped to form various types of garden as per customer and institutional preference. Primary focus will be given to portable kitchen and ornamental garden units for apartments. In later phase landscaping, vertical gardens, garden maintaining and repotting services, topiary services, indoor gardening, artificial gardening etc will be focused.

Successfully venturing into business, value addition, adoption of technology and demand based interventions in the recent past, the next leap targets multifarious activities that sustainably upscale the entire existing livelihood agrarian economy. Needless to say, agricultural activities are dynamic owing to the intricacies of nature and hence the ongoing schemes and many schemes envisaged for the coming year require proper project proposals from districts that will be verified at various levels before issuance of technical and financial sanction from the headquarters for implementation. Also there are mandatory requirement of submission of proposals to other verticals in the system as well. This coupled with the enhanced options of convergence with stakeholders as part of expansion plans made us realise that strong capacity building programmes are highly necessary in the field of Agricultural project proposal’s preparation, suiting to various needs. This would support the farmers and undoubtedly aid in conceptualising goals that are specific to area, time, crops etc. The aim of the project is to create a layer of professionals who have high knowledge and expertise in the field of agriculture for preparing project proposal with high standards suiting to all types of needs

Smart Agri Villages
Smart Agri Villages (SAV) are the elevated models showcasing sustainable and self reliant farming systems that encompasses all integrated approaches for ventilating a multitude of concepts viz., poverty reduction, food and nutritional security, natural resource conservation, livelihood diversification through agri-preneurships etc. The broader perceptive enables limitless opportunities that ranges from innovative enterprises to geographical indexing of products, let alone farm tourism. Buoyant by the examples of successful precedent endeavors, this proposition objectively submits a larger dream. One SAV will be formed in each district and SAV coordinator will be deployed in the field to coordinate the activities of SAV. In the preliminary phase, village implementation plan will be prepared with the active participation of farmers, CRPs, SAV coordinator etc and this will be executed phase by phase in the village

Pisciculture
Kerala is physically the smallest but one of the most active maritime states of India. Since ancient times, fish has constituted one of the major parts of the diet of Keralites. It is estimated that about 70 per cent of the total fish production in the State is being consumed internally. The annual per capita consumption of fish in the State is about 20.02 kg which is higher than the national average consumption. When compared to that of the other states in the country, the per capita consumption of fish in Kerala is 6 times higher than the all India average. Scarcity of fresh fishes (Formalin and ammonia free) in the market is one of the major crisis faced in the recent times. Being a highly remunerative sector, Kudumbashree in convergence with the fisheries department is taking up this venture to provide diversified livelihood opportunities to the farmers. Ponds available under LSGD, private firms and interested farmers will be identified in the first phase.

samrudhi- JLG Campaighn
Farming model of Kudumbashree has been unique with respect to the collectiveness and the leased nature of lands. Significantly adding to the production and productivity of the state, collective farming has its own sociological, economical and ecological impacts. After the devastating floods in August 2018, Krishi sanghams have strived hard to exist in many districts. 41% JLGs and 60 % of areas were badly hit. Despite of all odds the passion for agriculture is carried forward by all women farmers with fervent hopes. To join the initiatives of Rebuild Kerala rejuvenation of the livelihood sector certainly stands as an option. There is ample scope for bringing more farmers under these initiatives. Campaign will be conducted in all districts with exhibitions, competitions, seminars, field visits, discussions etc. A state level ceremony will be conducted involving the selected JLG members from all districts.

One of the social problems faced by Kerala in recent years is street dog menace. Since killing of street dogs is banned as per various acts and judgement, the strategy adopted by government is to intensify Animal Birth Control program (ABC).

Ksheerasaagaram
Ksheerasaagaram is an innovative project developed for providing employment to NHG members through Cow rearing, Milk marketing and Value addition. Kudumbashree will provide capital subsidy to the groups to establish cow rearing unit. . There will be 5 members / group, each beneficiary will be rearing 2 cows .Total project cost for one beneficiary will be Rs.1,25,000/- out of this 43750/- as subsidy and Rs.81250/- will be beneficiary contribution and loan. Since 2012-13, 845 units are provided with financial assistance in this scheme.

Egg Collector
Kudumbashree has introduced packed backyard poultry egg in the name of ‘Janova’in all District. To collect the eggs Kudumbashree will appoint egg collectors in each community development Societies, the grass root level structure of Kudumbashree. Approximately 1000 egg collection collectors will be appointed. Employee branding will be done. Kudumbashree will provide subsidy to buy collection vehicles. The egg collector’s collects eggs from the NHG members of the CDS assigned to them and handover the eggs to egg collection and packing unit at block level. The collectors will get a commission according to the weight of the eggs collected by them. It is designed to get an average amount of Rs. 750/day for each egg collectors in the state.

Janova
Janaova aims at a steady market and consistent price for brown eggs produced in the state. A novel factor of the project is the traceability of each egg from the coop to the table as a mark of quality assurance.

Fallow-less village programme

Plant Nurseries
Establishment of plant nurseries to ensure supply of quality seedlings to public and JLG groups with the aim of livelihood support.The nursery sites would be identified in districts considering the aspects like, sizable plot, road access, and availability of basic resources. 140 units would be identified and given high end training in different propagation and maintenance techniques. MKSP - Collective Farming
Mahila Kisan Sashakthikaran Pariyojana (MKSP) a sub component of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) aims to promote women group farming. Presently Kudumbashree has 60000 women farming groups to cultivate 55000 Ha of land in the State.

Community Interest Group (CIG)
In order to support the income generation activity of the NHG members, a new scheme for the members undertaking livestock sector is proposed. Through this intervention credit support and other supply chain support would be created for the members undertaking dairy husbandry activity. NHG members undertaking cow rearing for the last 2 years are eligible to be part of the CIG . Each of the CIG will have minimum 5 member whom are dairy farmers . Each of the CIG after verification could submit request for CIF to the CDS. Rs 1 lakh livelihood revolving fund to be provided by CDS @4% interest rate to 3 cow rearing groups in the selected CDS.

ANIMAL HUSBANDRY
Kudumbashree since its inception along with Community Mobilization and Capacity Building has promoted Micro Enterprises as Income Generation Activities for its members. Animal Husbandry projects of Goat rearing and Cow rearing were implemented initially along with Lease Land Farming initiatives. Taking into consideration market needs,Samagra Animal Husbandry projects namely Goat Village, Ksheerasagaram and Nature Fresh Milk were later implemented which eventually transformed into Farmer's Producer Companies in Kannur,Idukki and Wayanad. From 2014 onwards, 5 Samagra Animal Husbandry Projects namely Goat Village, KsheeraSagaram, Male Buffalo calf Rearing and allied projects to cater the demand for meat animals, Backyard Egger Poultry rearing project and Duck rearing project has been sanctioned with 35% project cost as subsidy, to the beneficiaries with community level support systems of Micro Enterprise Consultants and PashuSakhi to help the women members from training, credit linkage, convergence and marketing. Kudumbashree believes that to cater the ever increasing demand of milk, meat and egg in our state "Production by Masses" is the best option.

Kudumbashree to Address Street Dog Menace - ABCD Management Units
Kudumbashree has completed first phase of training of its 389 number of members in 68 Units to perform as Animal Birth Control Designated Management units to aid the Stray Control projects implemented by Jilla Pancahyaths, Municipalities and Muncipal Corporations.As per GO no.3247/2016/LSGD dated 30/11/2016, these trained and certified Kudumbashree members will function as community level facilitators for catching stray dogs,transportation to the designated ABC centres of LSGIs for the ABC procedure as per protocols ,pre and post operative care of dogs,and safe release of above dogs back as per rules,for a service fee of Rs.1000 per dog payable to them from the fund allocated by LSGIs for the project.
