Kudumbasree GST Consulting Centre has started providing services at Kunnamkulam Municipality. Kudumbasree GST Consulting Centre is the first GST Consulting Centre which started in kerala under the leadership of kudumbasree. The Kudumbasree GST Consulting Centre provide services which includes GST Registration, E-Filing etc. The kudumbasree NHG member Smt. Premalatha Satheeshan is the centre in-charge. Kunnamkulam Municipal Secretary Shri K.K Manoj & NULM City Mission Manager Smt Simina M took the initiative to start the Kudumbasree GST Consulting Centre at Kunnamkulam MunicipalityThe Kudumbasree GST Consulting Centre was inaugurated by Kunnamkulam Municipal Chairperson Smt. Seetha Raveendran, Vice Chairman Shri P.M Suresh,  Standing Committee Chairpersons , Municipal Secretary Shri K.K Manoj,  NULM City Project Officer Shri. Lakshmanan K.S, Member Secretary Smt. Asiya C.M, CDS 1 & CDS 2 Chairpersons , CDS Accountants and NULM Team attended the function.

The primary stages of Coconut Shell Defibering Unit has begin at Green Park, Kunnamkulam. The production is carried out under the leadership of Coir Board, Kochi. The idea of starting Coconut Shell Defibering Unit at Green Park, Kunnamkulam has been raised by Dr. Thomas Issac, Hon. Minister of Finance during his visit at Green Park, Kunnamkulam. A new building has been constructed for the starting the unit with the support of Coir Board, Kochi. The reprentatives of Coir Board, Kochi visited the place and gave instructions for planting the machineries. Coir Pith and Broken Fiber are the products receiving from the Coconut Shell Defibering Unit. Among these, the product Coir Pith can be used in waste management plant. Around 8000 coconut shells can be buried daily in the unit. 

After functioning the defibering unit, around 16 Kudumbasree NHG members will have the opportunity to get a job through the unit. 6 Kudumbasree NHG members for the defibering unit, 6 Kudumbasree NHG members for picking the coconut fiber and delivering it to the unit. 4 Kudumbasree NHG members for starting a group entreprise with the product broken fiber. The training including storage of coir will be given to Kudumbasree NHG Members. This new initiative has been going on under the leadership Kunnamkulam Municipal Chairperson Smt. Seetha Raveendran, Municipal Secretary Shri K.K Manoj, Planning Committee Vice Chairman Shri V Manojkunar

Mazhavillu 2019 - A get together of persons with disabilities in the kunnamkulam municipal area was conducted at kunnamkulam municipality on 24/02/2019.  The function was inaugurated by Kunnamkulam Municipal Chairperson Smt. Seetha Raveendran . Vice Chairman Shri. P.M Suresh presided over the meeting. Standing committee chairpersons Suma Gangadharan, Misha Sebastian, Kunnamkulam Municipal Secretary Shri K.K Manoj, Councilors Shri K.A Aziz, Shri O.G Baji, Shri K.B Salim, Health Supervisor Shri K.S Lakshmanan, CDS chairperson Smt. Soumya Anilan, Smt. Shiji Nikesh, NULM City Mission Manager Smt Simina M has came up with felicitation speeches. 

This new initiative has been started under the leadership of Kunnamkulam Municipal Secretary Shri. K.K Manoj. A new NHG named as Mazhavillu for the persons with disabilities in the kunnamkulam area has been formed as a part of the function.Kunnamkulam Municipality aims to provide better opportunities for skilled persons with disabilities and those who want to engage in various employment opportunities to develop skills needed for skill development and to encourage them to start entreprises in various sectors as well. 

In the near future, the scheme will be allocated for the construction of the shelter home for the protection of the vulnerable. Around 48 persons participated in the function. Children and parents participated in various activities such as music, dance, painting, mimicry etc. Trophies were given to all the children who participated in the function.
