By simultaneously reaping bumper crops in 4100 homes in Kannur, the micro-green agri challenge initiative has been making rapid strides in the green initiative of Kudumbashree Ayalkkoottam members. Women were roped in to take part in this mission to keep them away from boredom and stress during lockdown days. The district level launch of micro greens farming was inaugurated by farming in the home of Lucy, a member of Menma Kudumbashree at Varathu under Kannur corporation by minister Kadannappally Ramachandran. Kudumbashree Thrissur District Mission provided groceries from Kudumbashree micro enterprises  to the Free Grocery Kits being issued by the Government in the district as the lock down notified to contain the spread of covid-19 pandemic is ongoing. Chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder are given to the godown of supplyco at Vadakkancheri and Kuriyachira from Kudumbashree enterprise units. The products from twenty selected units from different panchayaths in the district is supplied to Supplyco.  100 gram packets of the groceries are  given to the Supplyco godowns.

As the lock down notified to contain the spread of covid-19 pandemic is progressing, Kudumbashree Thrissur District Mission is setting a new launched 'Cha cha- Ma cha' campaign (Chakkakuru Challenge- Mangayandi Challenge) for sprouting seeds of trees for Environment day, thereby making use of the lock down time in an effective way. Kudumbashree Thrissur District Mission aims at making the 24,698 NHGs in the district participate in the programme. The NHGs would sprout the seed of jack fruit and mango. The seeds would be planted on 5 June, World Environment Day. The campaign was launched on 7 March 2020.

Corona days set the stage for 57-year-old Radhakrishnan and 49-year-old Sajeev to reunite with their families. Kudumbashree Kasaragod District Mission have came forward by launching 'Njanum Ente Ayalkootavum Krushiyilek' (me and my NHG towards farming), 'Njanum Ente Oorum Krushiyilek' (me and my hamlet towards farming) food security campaign, underlining the relevance of attaining self sustainability in food security, as it is one of the biggest challenges faced during the crisis of covid-19. Directions have been given to the NHGs to make use of the  National Rural Employment Generation Scheme and start farming various crops in inter cropping method. The campaign was started on 4 May. 'Njanum Ente Ayalkootavum Krushiyilek' would be implemented through the NHGs in the district and 'Njanum Ente Oorum Krushiyilek' would be implemented through the tribal NHGs in the district.
