Kudumbashree is putting in so much care during lockdown days for the well-being of special kids in BUDS school in Pathanamthitta. The school operated with the support of respective local body has been undertaking various activities for their holistic development.
Kottayam Kudumbashree team is giving mental support and assurance to agri value added enterprise units in the district. These units are facing several hardships and problems due to nation wide lockdown. As part of the remedial measures, agriculture section in district have started this campaign. The campaign process, which was started from April 21st is being carried out by the 11 block coordinators in the district.
As the lock down notified to contain the spread of the Covid pandemic is ongoing, Kudumbashree Kollam District Mission is standing out by launching 'Rhythm of Nature', activity based competition for Balasabha students to make use of the lock down time effectively. Through 'Rhythm of Nature', Kudumbashree Kollam District Mission envisages at improving the curious nature among students and sharing the knowledge of the old generation to the children. 'Rhythm of Nature' is being organised from 1-10 May 2020. The instructions regarding activities for each day is being sent to Balasabha children through the whatsapp numbers of their parents.
Kudumbashree has spearheaded the drive to prepare food for the 1142 guest labourers who left the state from Kannur the other day. The Bihar natives have backpacked to their native amid the ongoing Covid crisis and threat. Food packet making was taken up under the aegis of Kudumbashree women under the District Administration at the behest of the District Administration.
Wayanad Kudumbashree district team's Online Yoga training programme for NHG members aimed at easing mental stress and problems due to lockdown is gaining momentum. The programme which is designed by the gender section for all NHG members and their families has now successfully completed 9 days. A total of 13,000 NHG members from the district and their families are regularly participating in this programme.
Kudumbashree is keeping homemakers in Ernakulam engaged by launching a jackfruit challenge. Of the manifold creative experiments devised during lockdown days, the District Mission has come up with an innovative idea to test their culinary skills. Any Ayalkkoottam member in the district can take part in the cooking competition called ‘Jackfruit challenge’. So many women have so far expressed interest to take part in the competition on from May 1 to 10.
State and Central governments are doing their maximum to cease the spread of Corona Virus disease in our nation. India is now undergoing a full lockdown to counter the spread of this virus. During this period Kudumbashree is doing several activities to support the government. NHG members, employees as well as all the people related to this mission are effectively playing their parts in these efforts for the last 1.5 months. Starting from creating awareness among general public to giving counselling, Kudumbashree is implementing various activities and are offering as many services for the welfare of the public.
As the lock down notified in the country to contain the spread of covid-19 pandemic is ongoing, Kudumbashree Thrissur district Mission set a model by organising 'Oru Lock Down Kaalath' (During a Lock Down Season), online competitions for Balasabha children. The 5 day online competitions were conducted for Balasabha children between 5 years and 15 years of age. The competition items included poetry writing, pencil drawing, short story writing, travelogue writing and cartoon and were organised during 8-12 April 2020.
The DDU-GKY students during Covid times are honing their talents in best possible ways. Keeping social distancing norms and staying away from venturing out in public, the students in Alappuzha, who have joined for the course, are active participants in manifold get-togethers.In a WhatsApp group with officials of Kudumbashree District Mission, district programme manager, block co-ordinators, trainers in Programme Implement Agency and students as members, various creative competitions are being conducted where they engage in creative ways.
Kudumbashree District Mission in Idukki has organised a game of friendship, 'Historical Figures Through Me' for children. It is aimed to break free from mundane and lead stress-free life during lockdown days. It is designed to utilise the creative talent of children.
